Ashley Span brought together her passion for esthetics, 16 years industry experience, and yearning for a safe and affirming space for both client and practitioner to create Idle Hands Esthetics in 2022.
Ashley is privileged to have worked at some of the most prestigious spas from the west to east coast and strives to provide a five star experience in a warm and comfortable environment, where everyone feels welcome.
Her specialties include brow waxing, brow lamination, and custom facials.

Ashley likes to spend her personal time close to nature- camping, hanging at the beach, hiking (easy) trails in the mountains, or just relaxing in her backyard with a bonfire. She is also passionate about music, fun fact- her first college degree is in music business and audio recording!

After 5 fulfilling years in childcare and earning a bachelors degree in Philosophy from Rowan University, Kaila started a new journey into the beauty industry. In 2020, she attended The Jean Madeline Aveda Institute and after graduating, she was offered a one year - intensive mentorship to train with some of Philadelphia’s top estheticians. Kaila’s passion for skincare is driven by a desire to educate and inspire confidence in her clients.

Kaila’s relaxed and minimalist approach to skincare paired with a focus on education and results for acne clients, makes her the perfect fit here at Idle Hands Esthetics. Outside of her love for all things skincare, Kaila’s interests include hiking, music, and fashion.

OPERATIONS + COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
With over a decade of industry experience, Vanessa started in digital media within the beauty + wellness space. In 2016, after a few years of dealing with persistent skin issues of her own, she decided to pursue a new career as an esthetician. Vanessa has worked at top skin clinics and spas in both DC and Philadelphia.
